Please note and disclaimer: Malicious and unauthorized access to telephone system programming can have devastating effect on a company's operation. I have, therefore, decided not to publish passwords. You will find all the default passwords in the manuals that came with your system, however your installer may have changed theses passwords to protect the system from unauthorized access. Please consult your system administrator for passwords.

If you are unfamiliar with Norstar programming, it is best hire and/or consult with a professional. Poking around can seriously inhibit the operation of your telephone system. You can find a programming overlay here. Use the programming overlay to help you navigate through the menus.

Question
How do I change the time on my Norstar CICS/MICS?

Answer:
This depends on your software version.
All CICS systems and MICS version 2.0 and above the time can be changed by entering Feature **TIME (**8463) on any two line display telephone and enter your administrator password. Follow the prompts on the screen.
All older systems (3x8, 616, 824, MICS R1T1, 1.0,1.1) the time is changed by entering Feature **ADMIN (**23646) on any two line display telephone and enter your administrator password. Press "next" twice, "show".

Version 7.0 and above have an Auto Day Light Savings feature. However, version 7.0 was released prior to the date change of DST.This feature should be disabled in 7.0. It was corrected in 7.1

Caller ID Auto Time and Date was introduced in version 4.0. It resets the clock with time stamp from Caller ID information. If active on your system the first incoming call will reset the clock.
